History:

Opened in 1991, Willow Springs Golf Course is an 18 hole mid-length links style golf course. Designed and built by renowned Golf Course Architect, Al Janis, the course is a challenging blend of par four and par three holes.

The course is challenging for the serious golfer yet very playable for the “weekend warrior.” Undulating greens, grass mounding, sand bunkers, water hazards, and our unique “love grass” will provide a memorable experience for any golfer.

Willow Springs was conceived as an expansion of her sister course, Pine Shore Golf, located in Ocean City, Maryland. The process began with the acquisition of “The Bowman Farms.” This farm was in the Bowman family and operated as a dairy farm for the better part of 35 years.Willow Springs was designed as a Links Style Mid-Length type golf course. In 1980, when Pine Shore was opened, Mid-Length courses were unheard of. There were only longer or shorter courses mainly as a result of insufficient land or to make the design “work” better.
