Twin Lakes golf course is a semi-private, 18-hole, par 70 course, which is managed by more than 300 members of the Twin Lakes Golf Association, aka Twin Lakes Golf Club (TLGC).  TLGC maintains an outstanding complement of staff, including a full-time Course Superintendent , a well-trained grounds keeping crew and a Pro Shop staffed with qualified professionals who can help you with your tee time reservations, cart rental or assist with you with equipment selection from our wide-range of golf products.

Twin Lakes is the first golf course to be established in Mountain Home almost 60 years ago, having begun operation in June of 1959. The Golf enthusiasts native to Baxter County and those retired to the Twin Lakes area worked with the leadership and members of The Elks Lodge to form the course after they received a donation in the form of a large tract of forest land on the edge of Mountain Home.  They then formed the Twin Lakes Golf Association and leased the land from The Elks Lodge. Thus began Twin Lakes Golf Course.

The course was designed by Herman Hackbarth with help from the National Golf Foundation. Mr. Hackbarth designed more than 40 courses and served as a pro and a greenskeeper in Little Rock, AR. According to The Architects of Golf, Mr. Hackbarth is noted for having introduced bentgrass greens to Arkansas courses.
