Sylvan Heights is an 18 hole, 6264 yard municipal golf course operated by the City's Department of Parks and Recreation. Sylvan Heights is one of the oldest municipal public golf courses in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Such renowned golfers as Arnold Palmer have played at Sylvan Heights Golf Course. Arnold Palmer, the worlds most famous golfer, played in the West Penn Amateur at Sylvan Heights in 1948.
