The Saranac Inn Golf and Country Club was once part of the famous Saranac Inn Resort. The course was founded at the turn of the century and designed by renowned Scottish pro and architect Seymour Dunn. The course is located in the heart of New York's Adirondack Mountains on Upper Saranac Lake. Designed in classic Scottish fashion using the natural terrain to provide a wonderful golf experience with spectacular mountain views, pure mountain air and memorable fragrance emanating from balsmas that line the course. From the bent grass tees to the tight lush fairways to the deep bunkered undulating greens, the Saranac Inn has a reputation as one of the most carefully maintained and challenging resort courses in the northeast. "The best course in the Adirondacks is 'immaculately maintained' with 'friendly service' and 'spectacular greens, tees fairways'" One fan particularly likes the greens as "fast, true and well bunkered".There is a "good mix of long and short holes"."The course is truly a gem".
