Due to the construction of Interstate 80 and the start of Great Basin College buildings, a new 9-hole course was opened for play in 1968 at the now existing Ruby View Golf Course site. In May of 1972 an additional 9-holes opened for play. The course consists of approximately 160 original acres of land with an additional 100 acres being acquired for future expansion.
