Phillips Municipal Golf Course has a long history of providing an incredible Borger golf experience to the golfers of the Texas Panhandle. Built in 1941 by Phillips Petroleum Company, the golf course was operated by Phillips employees for fifty years. Over that time the golf course matured and played host to many local tournaments and corporate outings. In 1991, the City of Borger took ownership of the property. Ever since the golf course has operated as a municipal golf facility serving the citizens of Borger and enthusiastic golfers from miles around. Our wide open Borger golf course is always a pleasure to play. Whether you make Phillips your choice for your weekly round of golf or as the venue for your next company outing, you're guaranteed a fun and exciting time. We also offer a number of affordable membership packages that make enjoying our pure Bent Grass greens even easier to enjoy throughout the year.
For nearly 100 miles in any direction you will not find better conditioned greens. Our 18 hole golf course stretches to just over 6300 yards from the back (blue) tees. The short, open layout to our golf course makes it incredibly fun to play for golfers young and old. Water comes into play on only two holes, and there are no sand traps to be found.Â
