Nestled within the gentle rolling hills and beautiful open skies of Wyoming County's farm country, Ironwood Golf Course offers golfers of all skill levels a challenging and enjoyable round of golf in a beautiful, scenic setting.
Our snack bar offers a tasty variety of food including hot dogs, burgers, and deli sandwiches for a quick lunch at the turn, and a wide variety of snacks to keep you going through the back nine. We also have various soft drinks and a variety of beers from which to choose.
Designed by golf course architect Scott Witter of Witter Design, the course was built and is owned by brothers Russ, Terry, and Jeff Ripstein. The greens were built and shaped by Brian Lembke, owner/operator of Golf Course Shaping Services. The remaining work was done by the brothers with the help of their wives, children, and a few friends who knew how to run a tractor, dozer, or rake.
This 6,416 yard course (from the Championship tees) has a park-like front 9 marked by tree-lined fairways and rolling hills. The back 9 features subtle elevation changes, deep rough, and natural tall grass areas. Over the past few years we have added some trees, but are still keeping with the open links-style play. The whole course contains enough white sand bunkers, dog legs, hills, and water hazards to keep it interesting and challenging. We are constantly working to enhance the course for the enjoyment of all who visit to play a round.
