Canasawacta Country Club, over-looking the Chenango Valley, spans 158 picturesque acres of rolling and hilly terrain. The original 9 holes were opened for play in 1920. It operated as a private club with limited success until 1950. The additional 9 holes were added in 1968, and the club thrived as a semi-private club. The present ownership, Carson Family Enterprises, Inc., began operating in 1985.
The Course measures 6271, 6044, and 5166 yards from blue, white, and red tees respectively. Par is 71 for men and women with a slope rating of 120(blue), 118(white), and 114(red). Water hazards come into play on 12 different holes. Greens are Bentgrass and average 5,000 sq. ft. Tees, greens an approach areas are irrigated by an automatic system. A driving range is also available.
