About

Bentwood Golf Course opened in 1955 and is located 3 miles from the center of Ulysses, KS. The 18-hole golf course facility is located in the 375-acre Frazier Park area. It's tucked away in peaceful Kansas, but Denver, Colorado Springs and Amarillo are all within driving distance. Bentwood Golf Course is the heart of Ulysses golf.

The front nine is a parkland-style course with small push up greens that average 3500 sq ft. The back nine features slightly larger greens, which are built with more modern-style mounding. They also use a variety of design styles, transitioning from parkland to dunes to links and finishing with a signature par three over water at the eighteenth. It's a challenging end to an engaging course, which will test players decision making and force them to contemplate a risk versus reward finish.

Bentwood has at least three sets of tees on each hole, providing an appealing distance for golfers of all experience and skill levels From rookies to pros, the course proves itself enjoyable to all players. As a warning, golfers should prepare to face water hazards on 10 holes and a grand total of 25 different sand bunkers. You'll quickly learn what many in Ulysses golf have known for years -- Bentwood Golf Course is one of the best-kept secrets in The West.
