Opened in 1973, the course is a Desmond Muirhead design that's dominated by very large, fast greens. While the course is well bunkered, it is rarely necessary to carry a bunker to reach a green, and shots hit short can bounce and run on.
The course can be challenging by water that can come into play on 13 holes. Bay Valley Resort has a well stocked shop, and can assist in planning group outings and tournaments for groups of any size.
Bay Valley's convenient location adjacent to I-75 southwest of Bay City offers you choices on how to experience the Resort. First, as a destination to stay and play. Second as an overnight to be added to your Michigan experience. Third, as a golf only experience to break up the drive to or from a metropolitan area.
And with jet service into nearby MBS International Airport, Bay Valley is the ideal location from which to begin or end a fly-drive tour of Michigan.
