History :

Saskatoon Golf Club has been one of Greater Grand Rapids most popular public golf courses for 50 years. The course opened in the summer of 1964 with the original Red Course.  The first Pro Shop still stands today, but is no longer used to serve the public. Over the years, Saskatoon continued to grow, adding the White Course in 1967, and the Blue Course in 1972. A new, spacious clubhouse was constructed in 1982 and offers guests many options including a golf shop, a full-service restaurant and bar, two banquet rooms, restrooms on multi-levels and locker facilities.

In 1992, owners Bill and Joan Howard opened the European-style Gold Course, Saskatoon's incredible practice range and short game area, and a second clubhouse featuring a golf shop and banquet area. This expansion gave the greater Grand Rapids area its first championship-style, 36-hole public golf course. The Gold Course was dramatically different from the other three nines, and its Scottish-links style offered a look unlike anything in West Michigan. The second hole on the course gained great notoriety, as it was immediately listed as one of the 18-toughest holes in the region.

But don't take our word for it, come see for yourself. Saskatoon's courses have been receiving rave reviews and awards for years.
