We're a group of local businessmen who love golf, especially golf at Penny Branch. We've been playing here since the course opened in 1999 and when we heard that the McKenzie family was considering retirement, we got together and decided to do whatever it takes to keep Penny Branch Club open. We're excited about our long term opportunity and we think you will be also.
The first thing we've done is hire a new, full time Superintendent. Tim Cope comes to Penny Branch with many years of experience. He's worked at Fripp Island, Cat Island, and, most recently, Crosswinds. In addition to his many years of experience, Tim brings new ideas and plans for substantial improvements to the golf course. Please take the time to welcome him to Penny Branch.
You'll be excited about the new golf carts that will be arriving in mid to late June. We're bringing in a new fleet of Yamaha carts with built in coolers and club covers. We think you'll be very happy with the performance of the new carts.
And best of all, we're planning to restore Penny Branch to the pristine condition for which the course has been known.
We love golf, we love Penny Branch, and we're looking forward to meeting all of you. And we can't wait for you to see our plans come to fruition.
