The City Club of Marietta golf course has an important birthday coming up. That's right, in just a few years the course, located a few blocks from historic Marietta Square, will turn 100. That's 10 decades of Marietta golf among these rolling hills, towering pines and spectacular Southern vistas. You'll love the challenging shot selections and bentgrass greens as you navigate the City Club Marietta golf course, as players have done for almost a century.
The club was born in 1915, when members of the Marietta Country Club designed the first 9 hole layout on the site of the Georgia Military Institute. That first design featured holes that encircled the clubhouse and ran along Powder Springs Street. In the 1960s, the City Club Marietta golf course expanded to a full 18 holes. The course first opened to the public in 1991, after the City of Marietta purchased it and hired Mike Young Designs to complete a renovation.
All these years later, this almost hidden course continues to give the Marietta golf community a challenging, mountain course at a reasonable price. With a convenient location near the Hilton Atlanta/Marietta Conference Center, we are always available to host your next group outing.
